What it costs

- How much does a decoration setup cost in Chandigarh?
- Cupid Vow setups start from ₹15,000 in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula. That covers the design, the material, the lighting and the installation. Add-ons such as a cake, photographer, guitarist or catering are quoted separately.
- How much does balloon decoration at home cost?
- A home setup including balloons starts from ₹15,000 in the Tricity area. Balloons are normally one element of a setup rather than the whole of it, so the price covers the full room — backdrop, lighting and styling — rather than a balloon count.
- How much does a proposal setup cost in Chandigarh?
- Proposal setups with Cupid Vow start from ₹18,000. The figure covers the design, material, lighting and installation at a home, rooftop or venue in Chandigarh, Mohali or Panchkula.
- How much does a full celebration cost?
- A full celebration that takes in a venue and several vendors starts from ₹65,000 with Cupid Vow. Below that, a standalone setup at a home or an already-booked venue starts from ₹15,000.
- Is a last-minute booking more expensive?
- No. Cupid Vow charges the same from ₹15,000 whether a setup is booked three weeks ahead or three days. Short notice costs choice of venue and date rather than money.
- What is not included in the price?
- The venue itself, and add-ons. Cake, photography, live music and catering are each quoted and paid separately, so a booking does not include items that were not asked for.

- Which areas does Cupid Vow cover?
- Cupid Vow works across Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula. Nearby towns including Zirakpur, Kharar and Derabassi are covered too, usually with a small travel charge.
- Do you set up at home, or only at venues?
- Both. Home setups — a bedroom, living room, terrace or balcony — are among the most common bookings, and are what makes a short-notice surprise possible. Venue setups at rooftops, poolsides and private dining spaces need more notice.
- Do you decorate hotel rooms?
- Yes, within the access window the hotel allows. An in-room setup is tighter than a home, so the design is built around the room rather than brought to it.

The words that come up when people describe what they want.
- What is a teepee setup?
- A teepee setup is a fabric-draped frame forming a small tented space, dressed with cushions, low lighting and a styled floor. It suits indoor birthdays, bridal showers and movie nights, and works in a living room as well as outdoors.
- What is a cabana setup?
- A cabana setup is an open-sided canopy with draped fabric, lighting and seating underneath, usually placed poolside or on a rooftop. It is a common choice for an outdoor date night or an anniversary dinner.
- What is a grazing board?
- A grazing board is a large styled platter of cheeses, fruit, breads and sweets arranged as part of the decor rather than served as a course. It photographs well and suits picnics and smaller celebrations.
- What is a backdrop in event decoration?
- A backdrop is the dressed surface a celebration is staged against — a panel, frame or wall treatment carrying balloons, flowers, fabric or a neon sign. It is what most photographs are taken in front of, so it usually receives the largest share of the budget.
- What is an open-air movie night setup?
- An open-air movie night setup is a projector and screen with lounge seating, blankets and low lighting, arranged on a terrace, lawn or rooftop. It suits couples and small groups, and needs a dark, reasonably still evening.
Planning and surprises
- How long does a setup take to install?
- A room setup takes a few hours to install. When a surprise depends on the person being out of the house, that absence needs to be a reliable one — dinner or a long appointment rather than a quick errand.
- What is the best surprise for someone who buys their own gifts?
- A staged evening rather than an object. A decorated room at home or a private styled dinner gives an experience they would not have arranged themselves, which avoids competing with their own taste in things.
- Can a surprise be arranged in two days?
- At home, usually yes. A room or terrace setup needs a few hours to install and a window when the person is out. A venue at two days notice is considerably harder, particularly at a weekend.
Booking and payment
- How far in advance should I book?
- Custom setups are best booked at least 15 days ahead. Large celebrations need 15 to 30 days so venue and vendors line up properly. Same-day, or two to three days before, is possible on selected setups and subject to availability, so message us anyway if your date is close.
- Do you travel outside Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula?
- Tricity is home ground. For nearby cities like Zirakpur, Kharar, Derabassi and Panchkula's surroundings, yes, usually with a small travel charge. For anywhere further, ask us on WhatsApp and we'll tell you straight whether we can do it well.
- What if it rains?
- We watch the forecast from the day you book. If the weather turns, we shift to a covered backup at the same venue or move the setup indoors. You won't be left standing in the rain with fifty candles.
- Can I be there during the setup?
- You can, and many people are. If it's a surprise, we'll coordinate with you on WhatsApp with photos as we build, so you approve everything without being seen anywhere near the venue.
- How much do I pay to confirm?
- A 50% advance reserves your booking. The remaining 50% is due at least 4 hours before the event. If we book a venue on your behalf, the full venue amount is paid at the time of booking, and any add-ons such as a photographer, guitarist, catering or cake are paid in full at the time of booking too. Exact quotes come on WhatsApp once we know your date, location and what you want.
- Can you keep it a complete surprise?
- That's most of our job. We plan everything with you over WhatsApp, deal with the venue directly, and stay invisible. She finds out when she walks in.
- Can you do a same-day booking?
- Sometimes, depending on the setup and what we have running that day. Message us early in the morning and we'll give you an honest answer within the hour.
